Hosting your Regatta at LBSC

LBSC will host your Championship Regatta

Largs Bay Sailing Club has an experienced event management team to host your class regattas, supported by trained race officials and boat crews with a modern fleet of safety boats.  Largs Bay Sailing Club has hosted many major regattas over past years.

Our regatta facilities include:

• Modern 3-level club house with a wide balcony overlooking the beach and course area
• Change-room and shower facilities, which have serviced over 200 male and female sailors
• A large rigging area in front of the club and on the wide beach adjacent to the water
• A function room for dining and other activities
• A modern canteen and full kitchen facilities
• A fully licensed bar
• Two large car parks adjoining the club
• An observation bridge with a modern VHF radio system
• Purpose built race management boats plus rigid inflatable safety boats with VHF radios in all boats
• Boat storage undercover and a large grasses area in front of the club plus a secure boat storage yard
• Two squash courts

Our race management team resources include:

• Sailing Event Management experience including club racing and class fleet events
• LBSC has hosted regular National and World Championship Regattas including Youth championships
• We can offer an experienced race management teams supported by an experienced off-water team supported by Australian Sailing (SA) race officials
• We use "Top-Yacht" handicap system to provide race results
• LBSC has a comprehensive Risk Management Plan and safety policies
